Wy is it important to warming up before weight training ?

-To get your heart rate up
-To prevent injury
-To improve range of motion

the above are all right, It is easy to forget however that you trying to warm up the intended muscle worked and to get in the right frame of mind before going into the exercise. The mental side of the warm up is often overlooked, but yet its so importance to your performance in the gym. Warming up also means -Focus on actually activating the intended muscle, instead of just going through the motions and not paying any attention -Focus on performing the exercise with perfect technique, this will make it easier to incorporate in your working sets. -To focus on what you want to get out of the workout, instead of just going through the motions and just turning up. What is your purpose? What time do you want to beat? How many reps do you want to get? How much weight do you want to lift on each exercise?

Warming up is not just about getting your muscles warmed up, but getting your head in the game, strive for more and progress!!
